Founder and director of the Light and lighting laboratory of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering of Leuven University. Associate Professor of the same University in Flanders, Belgium. An active member of the International Commission on Illumination – CIE, division 1. Expert in perception and Visual Appearance, metrology and LED technology, among other things.

Roger Narboni

France |Artist and Lighting Designer

He studied in the Paris National School of fine Arts and in the Orsay University where he obtained a title in Electronics Engineering. Founder in 1988 of CONCEPTO, lighting design studio. Founder of the French Lighting Design Association and professor of the Landscape National School of Versailles from 2003 to 2015. The last 32 years of his life have been devoted to research and creative works in more than 140 projects in 4 continents.

During the last ten years, he has engaged in profound reflections about the future of urban lighting, the ecological design of public lighting and he study and implementation of “Dark Infraestructure” to rediscover the role of darkness in the cities. He is a prolific author of reference books and science fictions stories, teaching regularly across the globe.

Stephan Voelker

Germany | Lighting researcher

Associate professor and director of the Department of Lighting Technologis in Berlin Technical University. An active member on the International Commission on Illumination – CIE, division 4. Expert in adaptive Roadway lighting systems, glare, mesopic vision and models of the visual system.

Mariana Figueiro

Brazil – USA | Ph.D. Multidisciplinary Science

Associate profesor in Architecture and Director for the Lighting Research Center affiliated to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in the United States.
An active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society – IES. An Expert In the effects of light in Human Health, circadian photobiology and lighting for elders.

USA | Ph.D. Researcher.

Associate Professor in Architecture and Cognitive Sciences in the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). An active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society – IES. An Expert in Human Vision, Illuminating Engineering and Lighting Human Factors.

Michael Poplawski

USA | Researcher, Engineer

An Associate Researcher in the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Portland, in theConnected Lighting Research Group. An active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society – IES, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers – IEEE, and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers – ASHRAE.

He is a prolific contributor in different committes in charge of the development of standards for the industry and is a consultant in different Energy Efficiency organisations.

Claudia Paz

Peru | Lighting Designer

Architect and lighting designer. An active member of the International Association of Lighting Designers – IALS, and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). Founder and Art Director of the Claudia Paz Lighting Studio. With her team she has designed the lighting for several landmarks such as the Lima Cathedral, the Congress of the Republic, Profuturo AFP Builing, Peru’s National Stadium, residential projects, the façade of the BCP… The studio has received multiple awards like the IES Award of Excellence, the [d]arc awards, and the Iluminet awards, among others.
